Where did you learn to cook?
My mom who emigrated from Vietnam as a war bride taught me the basics. She spoke little to no English but could cook like a beast. One time when she was at a restaurant, she critiqued the chef's specialty, so he asked her to improve it. A few days later, she was hired.
