About Pigs Head BBQ
For James Suss, his love of BBQ goes back a long time. He was already the family grill master as a small boy, working under a chef that to this day, Suss swears is some of the best he’s ever had. Two decades of restaurant industry experience and a culinary school degree later, he opened up shop at Pigs Head BBQ, and Gobles, MI is eating well.
Suss isn’t messing around here; he’s smoking 17-hour brisket, 16-hour pulled pork, St. Louis-style ribs, wings, turkey, sausages, and a whole lot more. BBQ is a 2-part game though, and great meats are nothing without great sides. Suss seems to know this, because Pigs Head is slinging classic stuff like collard greens, mac & cheese, and cornbread as well as some not-so-classic-but-oh-so-fresh stuff like pasta, cucumber, and caprese salads.
