A longtime Portuguese baking tradition now rolls across New Jersey with Pinho's Famous Natas, a food truck dedicated to serving authentic Pastel de Nata at festivals, markets, and private events. Rooted in a family recipe dating back to 1940 in Portugal, the business carries forward generations of baking experience first established through Pinho’s Bakery in Newark and later Roselle, NJ. After more than 50 years serving the community through their retail bakery, the family launched this mobile concept in 2025 to bring warm Portuguese pastries directly to guests throughout the region.

The star of the menu is the traditional Pastel de Nata, known for its flaky buttery pastry shell and rich caramelized custard center. Often compared to a mix of crème brûlée and a croissant, these Portuguese custard tarts offer a balance of familiar comfort and old-world flavor that keeps guests coming back for another bite. Alongside the signature natas, the truck rotates bakery favorites like cinnamon buns, oversized cookies, cannoli, and seasonal pastries, paired with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and warm apple cider.
