Having grown up in New York City, Jim Patterson always loved a classic hot dog cart. Noticing a lack of the iconic franks in Clarksville, TN, he took it upon himself to right that wrong with PJ’s NY City Dogs. In addition to steaming up tasty dogs, Patterson is all about giving back to his community, donating $1.00 for every hot dog to various schools, colleges, and nonprofits. Great hot dogs for a great cause definitely sounds like a win-win.
All of the classic NYC dogs are available at PJ’s, from Sabrett to Hebrew National to Nathan's. Patterson’s serving them up on Martin's Famous Potato Bread, too, for the fluffy-yet-firm blast of nostalgia that anybody who loves New York hot dogs has been missing. The best pat? PJ’s caters, and with his New York style self-contained push cart, complete with its own meat cooler and flat iron griddle, Patterson can serve up to 1,000 people in two hours. So, ya know, go ahead and book ‘em ASAP.
