Roots is committed to working with local farmers to use the freshest, local food around Charlotte possible. Our menus focus on using what is in season and available. Local food is far less traveled than its commercially distributed counterpart, which means it is allowed to ripen on the vine as opposed to the back of a tractor-trailer. This imparts more flavor and nutrients into the food making the taste and quality far superior. We experience first-hand the passion and care that goes into growing the ingredients we buy. This gives us a respect for the food that drives us to carefully prepare it by preserving the natural flavors the farmers worked so hard to achieve.
