About Taste of Surabaya
Fefe Anggono hails from Surabaya, Indonesia. When she first moved to the United States, she noticed a distinct lack of Indonesian cuisine. Even in a city as diverse as New York, her culture felt underrepresented. Like many entrepreneurs, Fefe took it upon herself to shake up the industry. Not only does she now operate her own food cart, Taste of Surabaya, she also works with the Indonesian embassy and other food trucks to bring Indonesian vendors together. The food here is great and you’ll get a chance to expand your cultural horizons if you stop by. What's not to love?
The menu sports an impressive array of traditional Indonesian foods, most of which you’ve probably never tried before. Now’s your chance. Have some mild sweetness with a klepon, rice flour balls stuffed with palm sugar. Get some deep-fried goodness with martabak, fried pancakes stuffed with curry-seasoned ground beef. Or, if you’re in a hurry, just grab a kebab made with lamb seasoned in a rich mix of aromatic spices traditionally used in Indonesian street food. Stomach rumbling? Then what are you waiting for? Swing by this food cart and try something new. Even better? Book Taste of Surabaya for your next event. You won’t regret it.
