Born and raised in Dexter, MI, Melissa Stapish grew up in the garden and the kitchen. Her passion for cooking great food with great ingredients eventually led her to the realization that not everybody has the time or energy for mindful cooking — and thus, The Alternative Chef was launched. In Ann Arbor, her meal prep service and catering operations have been an absolute hit.
