What is the story behind your business' name?
I was originally looking for a way to start a streamlined coffee business, something somewhat passive like a vending machine, but with me controlling the quality of the brew and espresso pulls, when I stumbled across the concept of converting a school bus into a "Skoolie." Then it hit me... what if I put my café ABOARD a SKOOLIE?!" ...and so the name "The Skool Cafe." This was the original vision, and I bought a 35 foot school bus, gutted it, with the full intention of making it into my mobile coffeehouse...only to learn that it's not quite that simple to do such a thing in LA County (where I live)...bummer right? Maybe, but I was then invited to a popup event (sans bus)... and when I saw how well it did, I decided that this is a good way to fund my future coffee shop aboard a skoolie...This is The Skool Cafe.
