Chef Toben began his culinary career studying professionally at Cordon Bleu School of the Culinary Arts in Paris. After graduation, he spent years cutting his teeth at various restaurants throughout Toronto. Once he’d adequately honed his skills in the kitchen, he decided it was high-time to go at it on his own. With that, Toben Food By Design was born. This food truck pops into events throughout Toronto serving up gourmet fare made from locally sourced ingredients.
Start your meal off with some bite-sized appetizers seasoned up with full-bodied blends of herbs and spices. What could make tater tots better, for example? Spritz ‘em with lime zest and sprinkle on a generous dose of thyme. As for the main course, there are loads of upscale takes on classic street foods. Mac and cheese with some smoked brisket and a luxurious mix of cave-aged gruyere, white cheddar, and parmigiano-reggiano anyone? Plus, there are vegetarian options as enticing as the carnivorous choices, like a sandwich stuffed with BBQ-glazed cauliflower topped with a creamy cabbage-fennel slaw. You get the idea – these are some truly artisanal, gourmet eats bound to add a touch of class to any event. So go ahead and book Toben Food by Design for your next get-together. It’s a surefire way to make your guests feel pampered.
