Chicago-born couple Brian and Teri Jones met in college. After graduation and a variety of professional endeavors, they both landed in Austin, TX. Brian and Teri both found success, with Teri teaching and Brian working in sales. While they both loved their jobs, they couldn’t quite shake the desire to do something a little different. Missing their hometown’s cuisine, an idea struck them one night. Why not open a food cart? With that, Chicago Dog was born. Now, you’ll catch the pair in Austin giving the Lone Star State a little taste of the Windy City.
Given the name, it’s no surprise you’ll find traditional Chicago-style dogs here. These Vienna beef franks come smothered with the bevy of toppings that give them their “dragged through the garden” reputation. However, meat-lovers will rejoice over the litany of other carnivorous creations here. From Italian beef to chili-cheese fries, there are loads of savory dishes to sample. If you’re on the hunt for some down-home fare, stop by this cart on your next lunch break. Even better? Book ‘em for your next event. Guests will thank you.
Chicago-Style Hot Dog - A juicy, fresh-off-the-grill hot dog smothered in yellow mustard, onion, tomato, dill pickle spears, sweet relish, peppers, and celery sauce. Plus, it comes served on a steamed poppy seed bun. How can you say no?
