About Alex's Lemonade Stand
Alex's Lemonade's mission is to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily research into new treatments and cures. The organization was formed in memory of Alexandria Scott who passed away from cancer at the age of eight. Prior to her passing, Alex operated her own lemonade stand to raise money for charity. Since then, Alex's Lemonade has been hosting their own lemonade stands across the country that take donations for childhood cancer research.
If you're interested in supporting Alex's Lemonade Stand, keep your eyes peeled for stands in your community, especially during the first week of June. Dubbed Lemonade Days by the charity, thousands of volunteers host a lemonade stand of their own. In Los Angeles, CA specifically, UCLA hosts a lemonade stand on their quad each September. Alex's Lemonade is definitely worth stopping by and offering a donation in exchange for a tangy, refreshing glass of lemonade. And if you're interested in getting even more involved, you can volunteer to host a stand yourself to help raise money for an important cause.
