The delicious food truck eats never stop here at Roaming Hunger HQ. No, but really, with our ever changing weekly rotation of new food trucks that cater to our office, we never go hungry. This week’s lunch was courtesy of Just In The Flavor, an electric blue truck with an extensive menu of sandwiches, salads, and burgers.
Popular items with our office full of foodies included the Bacon Jam Burger, Sgt. Peppered Reuben, the Caprese You Amaze Me sandwich, and the Grilled Portobello Mushroom sandwich. When it came to sides, Just In The Flavor had a great selection of regular fries, sweet potato fries, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings.
Just In The Flavor had an amazing homemade bacon jam, a perfect blend of salty and sweet, that everyone seemed to really enjoy. The Bacon Jam Burger, a beef patty topped with cheddar cheese, bacon jam, crispy onions, and applesauce served on a warm brioche bun, was one of the office favorites along with the Grilled Portobello Sandwich, big slices of portobello mushrooms, topped with mozzarella, basil, roasted red peppers, & spinach, and drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. This truck had an especially large menu so there was truly something for everyone enjoy.
One of the perks of food truck catering is how hot and delicious the food is, as it’s literally prepared directly in front of you while you wait drooling at the pick-up window. Food truck catering isn’t that taco stand on the corner setting up in front of your office, its a mini mobile gourmet restaurant on wheels and the Just In The Flavor truck lived up to their name in terms of taste and freshness.
As always, the best part of the work week is when the food truck pulls up in front of the office and lunch has officially commenced. Just In The Flavor had a very accommodating and friendly staff which usually tends to be the case when dealing with food trucks and the engaging people who run them. Another perk of having a giant truck with amazing smells wafting out of it in front of your office building? All the other people who come wandering out of their offices, wondering why their company doesn’t have food truck catered lunches.
The day of the week where we have food truck catering becomes the chance to have a longer lunch with more conversation. The communal table becomes the place to grab a seat and see who else sits down next to you in a game of coworker roulette that yields only the best results. Personally, I love waiting to find out what truck is coming, checking out the menu, and revealing in the fact that for an hour each week, the only thing that matters is a tasty Bacon Jam Cheeseburger and hanging out with colleagues. Get your office in on the yummiest lunch in town and increase employee happiness by booking a food truck.
