What’s New San Fran? — SoMa StrEat Food Park

Looking for food from a truck but unsure of what you want? The folks at SoMa StrEat Food Park can commiserate with you, and that’s precisely why they’ve given San Francisco its very first permanent food park! Wander the streets no more, searching aimlessly for the mythical slider (we’re talking to you Android users). Now you can find all your favorite mobile meals in one convenient location. The SoMa StrEat Food Park opens its gate’s to the public this Wednesday. Lunch and dinner are served daily between 11AM and 9PM, so you can go on your lunch break, after work, and on the weekends too! They promise up to ten different trucks in the park per day, but the list is on a constant rotation, so you’ll never get sick of the same ol’ taco. Spoiled, much?

“Big whoop. I’ve been to plenty of food truck lots and they’re all the same. I think I’ll just microwave a Hot Pocket instead,” you might be groaning inwardly. Well, the good news is that you’re wrong! Before you get offended, here’s why:

Got a fixie? You can park it in their bike lot.

Afraid of sitting on curbs? There’s a covered seating pavilion.

Hate the cold? The pavilions heated.

Gotta pee? Restrooms.

Workaholic/social media obsessed? Free wifi!

But wait, there’s more! No, not ShamWows; beer! SoMa StrEat Food Park is working on getting the permits to open up their Beer Garden, so that whole “I really like to have a drink with dinner” excuse doesn’t fly. They’re also planning to show movies and sport events on a giant projection screen. And when that’s not happening, they promise to provide a great soundtrack for your epic nosh sesh.

Located at 428 11th Street, the SoMa StrEat Food Park opens TOMORROW. Can’t wait? Thank’s to Scout Mob, you don’t have too! Get your ticket and head to the park’s First Look Party tonight and steak your clam on some of the Bay Area’s best grub.
