Meet Claudia Galindo, Yuming Chan
What is the story behind your business' name?

"Casamiento" is a traditional Central American dish representing a "marriage" of rice and beans. While we are not married ourselves (yet), we wanted to showcase the marriage of two cultures and flavors to create something truly unique. Casamiento in Guatemala is a national dish, a mixture of beans and rice which we consider a super food! We believe we are stronger together, our unity binds our culture, and flavors, a unique approach to Guatemalan x Hong Kong Specialties. We always joke about Claudia being the "bean", while I am the "rice."

A fresh addition to the Los Angeles coffee scene, Casamiento Coffee brings together Guatemalan and Chinese culinary traditions through a thoughtfully crafted mobile coffee experience. Founded by Claudia and Yuming in 2026, this food trailer reflects their fine dining backgrounds and a shared vision of creating a welcoming space where great coffee, meaningful conversations, and cultural influences come together. The name "Casamiento," meaning marriage, captures the spirit of blending flavors, techniques, and traditions into something uniquely their own.

Every detail of the menu is designed with craftsmanship in mind. The espresso bar features Guatemalan coffee prepared with precision, while specialty teas showcase ceremonial Chinese tea traditions. Rather than relying on pre-made ingredients, the team creates syrups and toppings in-house to deliver distinctive flavors that stand apart from standard coffee offerings. Guests can pair their drinks with fresh baked goods such as the Milk Bread Conchita, Hong Kong milk tea egg tarts, and mango sago, each inspired by cultural favorites and reimagined with a modern touch.

Casamiento Coffee is available for markets, private events, corporate gatherings, and community celebrations throughout Los Angeles. Combining elevated technique with an approachable atmosphere, this food trailer offers a memorable coffee catering experience that feels both refined and inviting. From handcrafted espresso drinks to house-made pastries, every menu item reflects a commitment to quality, creativity, and connection.
