What is the story behind your business' name?

I wanted to incorporate my nickname with is Coco. At the time I thought I would only be baking cupcakes. So now all I needed was something creative to describe my cupcakes. and just like that, Coco's Lip Smacking Cupcakes was born!

Why did you decide to start your business?

It all started off as a hobby. I am Nicole Green, the founder and CEO of Coco’s Lip Smacking Cupcakes. In 2013, I realized I had a passion for baking. After hearing great reviews about my cakes and cupcakes from family and friends, I decided to throw out the box mix and start my journey of baking from scratch. As a self taught baker, Youtube and Google were my best friends. Turning my creativity into my reality was the best feeling. My passion for baking has awarded me with unimaginable experiences. In 2018, I took my dedication for baking to the next level. I invested in myself and opened my first food truck business. The food truck allowed me to reach different demographics in many cities throughout Southern California. Being able to scale the company has helped gain more exposure and now everyone wants my mouth watering lip smacking cupcakes. In 2021, Coco’s Lip Smacking Cupcakes expanded by opening a Bakery in Lakewood, Ca. It was my dream and now we are one of the most talked about bakeries in the Southern California region.
