Hap Cameron, a native New Zealander, has not only traveled the world but had managed to find meaningful work in all seven continents before the age of 30. After exploring many lands and tasting many world delicacies, the best thing he had ever eaten was still the real fruit ice cream from a berry orchard in his hometown of Nelson, New Zealand. When Hap arrived in Denver, Colorado after meeting his wife, he discovered his new true calling: to bring this amazing NZ treat to the Mile High City. He imported the exact same type of ice cream machine that had churned his childhood inspiration, a 1984 Emery Thompson Ice Cream small-batch freezer. Every day he uses this vintage masterpiece to make fresh, delightfully creamy “soft serve” ice cream with two-parts homemade ice cream and a scoop of real fruit. So simple and so delicious.
