What is your favorite dish on the menu?

Hands down...my all time favorite on the Jassy's menu is simply the chocolate chip cookie. It has this yummy smooth texture that melts in my mouth with just the perfect crunch on the edges.

What is the story behind your business' name?

Jassy's is named for my daughter, Jasmine. As she shares a love of baking like I do, Jassy's Sweets & Eats is a legacy for her to continue for years to come.

Where did you learn to cook?

I learned to bake at a very young age. My mom started me off making pastry dough. I would roll out the dough and add jam to the center. It was my 7 year old version of a hand pie from my Holly Hobby oven. Looking back, I think that was her way of keeping me out her hair while she worked in the kitchen. Thankfully, it opened up a lifetime love of baking. Growing up my mom always allowed me to explore and experiment in the kitchen while she taught me all she knew.

Why did you decide to start your business?

I love how my baked goods light up people. Something as simple as a sweet treat can calm and warm hearts. Additionally, I'm a single mom of three amazing kids. Having the flexibility to do what I love and prioritize them is my driving force.
