Perros Paisas is bringing authentic Colombian hot dogs to the streets of Boston in style. Just what style, you ask? Well, they're coming to you on the go, out of a food truck that blossomed organically into what it is today: a local staple.
The backstory to Perros Paisas is about as delicious as the hot dogs themselves. When Andres Jaramillo first came to the US, he and his wife searched for the Colombian style hot dog they were so accustomed to eating. When they came up short, they decided to gather all the ingredients and make 'em for themselves. Soon after, they started serving 'em at family and friends events, and received many calls about catering. Thus, armed with an entrepreneurial spirit, Perros Paisas was born, to much success. Here, they've got the traditional Colombian style dog, packing in a meaty frank in a warm bun with oh so much cheese and mustard, and so many toppings we'd be hard pressed to list them all out here. Needless to say, they must be tasted to be believed. So what are you still reading this for? Find Perros Paisas in Boston, or have 'em out to cater your next event. Trust us. It really is that good.
Colombian Hot Dog - alright, we'll list all the toppings out here, because we must. That meaty hot dog is smothered in cheese and mustard with coleslaw and pineapple sauce (with actual chunks of pineapple), along with hard-boiled quail eggs, crushed potato chips, mayonnaise, tomato salsa and crumbly bacon
