About Roaming Italy
Chef Gavin Mills and Mercedes Montijo, veterans of the restaurant industry, grew tired of being cooped up in the kitchen. While they loved food, they wanted to actually see patrons enjoy it. So, they took to the streets of LA with Roaming Italy. Thanks to Gavin and Mercedes, Angelenos don’t have to book a reservation at a sit-down restaurant to enjoy quality Italian fare. They can get it out the window of a food truck.
Gavin and Mercedes use only locally sourced ingredients to whip up their fare. Not only is the taste nice and fresh, it’s a great way to support your community by keeping things local. You can make yourself a full course Italian meal here. Start off with some roasted tomatoes drenched in balsamic for an appetizer. Or, if you’d rather have a little decadence, get an order of mozzarella sticks. Sink your teeth into a calzone for dinner, made with thick, chewy dough and stuffed with bubbling cheese and pipin’ hot marinara. And, of course, there are cannolis for dessert. Getting hungry? Then stop on by and grab a meal. Or, even better, book Roaming Italy for your next event. It’ll please your guests and support California farmers.
