What is the story behind your business' name?

Sara Rose grew up in an Italian family, learning all of her Grandfather's (Poppy's) recipes. Over the years, she was inspired to perfect his creations which were passed down to her mother. She followed their traditions and decided to add her own unique spin on them. Hence the name Rosie's Kitchen Inspired Cuisine.

Where did you learn to cook?

Sara Rose's real love and taste for cooking came from Sundays at Poppy's house, peaking just over the countertop to see how he would add a dash of this or a pinch of that to all of his dishes, crafting them just so, to get them right like his Grandmother did before him. She would study his movements and watch him as if he was dancing with his ingredients. Usually someone like Louis Prima or Dean Martin would be in the background setting the mood for the feast that was about to be enjoyed.

Why did you decide to start your business?

You are either born with a sense of hospitality and desire to be of service or you are not. After many years of working under other chefs and the corporate bosses it was time to take the inspiration that Sara Rose had found and share it with the world. Home cooking like this is meant to be shared with the community. It would be a disservice to let these recipes only be enjoyed by a select few.

What's your favorite event that you've catered for?

Their Wedding. As you can see both Sara Rose and Brian lean toward the mid century aesthetic. So, they decided to have a backyard wedding in the true 1950's vibe. They decided to cater their own wedding with homemade deviled eggs, pesto, red sauce, artisanal breads, antipasto, and so much more. Still to this day, the food is talked about almost more than the ceremony.
