In 2018, RMNG partnered with Delta (via Karlitz & Company) to create brand awareness around their Delta SkyMiles American Express credit card and reward existing cardholders with a sweet treat as part of their #DeltaAmexPerks campaign. With 18 stops in 9 cities across the US ready to go, our custom-fabricated “Perksicle Tour” popsicle truck hit the road…
The national marketing tour began in Atlanta and included stops across iconic landmarks like Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles, Rockefeller Center in New York City, and the Mall of America in Minnesota.
Culinary Development With Local Partners
To bring Delta and their customers something buzzworthy and memorable, we worked with our culinary partners across the country to create 32 specially-crafted, innovative popsicle flavors, carefully culled from each market’s most popular brands. Local favorites like Atlanta’s King of Pops, Nashville’s Las Paletas, and LA’s 3D-printed Dream Pops were all called in to bring unique flavors to excited crowds at every stop.
A Marketing Promotion With a Purpose
While every Delta SkyMiles cardholder was hooked up with two pops, non-cardholders were able to get in on the icy fun too with a small donation provided to the American Red Cross -- matched dollar for dollar by Delta and American Express, making this a promotion with purpose.
By tour’s end, nearly 13,000 branded popsicles translated into nearly 150,000 social impressions, all featuring the #DeltaAmexPerks hashtag. SkyMiles cardholders were left feeling a whole lot cooler about their choices, while non-cardholders discovered just how sweet these perks can be. It was a cool-down for a good cause, spreading first-class vibes coast to coast.
