The Cupcake-A-Rhee wheels in delightful desserts to deserving folks in Milwaukee. Their aim is simple: to please your sweet tooth with the sweetest cupcakes you're ever gonna eat. And boy do they deliver. This food truck specializes in custom cupcakes, available in a myriad of flavors to ensure everyone's total and complete satisfaction.
Treating yourself just got a whole lot easier. Because at The Cupcake-A-Rhee, they've designed a menu including 10 different flavors of cakes and frostings to choose from. We don't even know how many combinations that makes for, but what we do know is this: they're sweetening the deal with specialty cakes in flavors you've never imagined. From boozy pink champagne and chocolate stout to a root beer float and savory maple bacon, these certainly aren't your average cupcakes. With a variety of rotating items including fresh baked cookies, brownies, muffins and the sometimes savory offerings of pretzels and stromboli, they're guaranteeing repeat visits. Nice marketing strategy, guys. You'll find The Cupcake-A-Rhee in Port Washington, Milwaukee and beyond, slinging those high quality sweets on the streets. Trust us. These sweets just simply won't be beat.
Turtle - A rich, nutty blend of chocolate and pecans with all the brown sugary goodness of caramel swirled in. Yum.
Apple - Recreate the experience of biting into a caramel apple at the fair by choosing their apple cupcake base and smearing it with their specialty salted caramel frosting.
It’s name after Ellen’s late brother Rich, nicknamed Rhee. He was a lover of sweets. We thought using a play on the word cupcakery was a great way to honor his memory.
I started cooking supper for my family, standing on a kitchen chair to reach the stove. My mom would leave me a list of instructions as she worked a long day.
We owned another business for 22 years, but liquidated it due to industry changes. A love of baking and a lack of dessert trucks helped us decide to give this a try.
Our primary encouragement came from each other. We believed in ourselves. Ellen’s parents were the next biggest supporters and have even come to help out on the truck.
The Milwaukee County Zoo Member Nights is one of our favorite events of the season. Local food trucks drive onto the grounds. It’s a fun night of families with kids.
Our Turtle Cupcake. It’s our signature dish, and turtle was my brother Rich’s favorite.
