Like many dreams, Chilin was born the day Tim Kahler got abruptly laid off from his fine-but-kinda-boring job. A native of South Jersey and a resident of Philadelphia, Tim worked in the graphic design industry for the better part of a decade. While cooking was his passion, the lure of a steady paycheck kept him behind a computer longer than he should have been. The day Tim got laid off was the day this dream came to fruition. After years of friends and family doing back flips over his chili, he worked tirelessly to get his recipes right and get them out to the world via this little food trailer. His circle of friends and family have been incredibly helpful in the endeavor, stuffing themselves with chili variations, writing silly jingles about chili in a corn bread bowl, and taking approximately 467 trips to Home Depot. Tim’s focus is on hearty, healthy, and wholesome ingredients… simple recipes, sweet cornbread bowls, and homemade hot sauces and toppings to customize your food exactly how YOU want it. It's been a labor of love, a dream come true, and Tim and company are so happy to share it with you.
